We’re giving $10 million in Mailchimp service to our small business customers who want to continue using Mailchimp’s platform but need some financial support during the COVID-19 crisis. The South Campus Food Pantry at the Carriage House, next to the Skybarn, will be open on Tuesdays, noon – 4 p.m., and Thursdays, 3 – 7 p.m., to provide food and personal care items at no cost for students continuing to remain on or near campus through the remainder of the semester. In alignment with good health practices, students will be provided one bag at the pantry (please do not bring your own) and the pantry will be open to one user at a time. Our Syracuse Emergency Shelter and Day Center remain open 24 hours a day. We are actively screening our guests for symptoms of the coronavirus, and are referring individuals for testing, if needed. The Clarence L. Jordan Food Service Center is still preparing three meals a day, seven days a week to ANYONE in need in the community. The dining room remains open to our shelter residents, with tables reconfigured for individual dining, and we are staggering service to include no more than 50 people at a time. Take-out meals are available for the community at-large. Additionally, we are prepared to expand services, if we are called upon to prepare meals for the elderly and homebound, who are too vulnerable to venture in public.
